Poor oral health can significantly impact a patient’s quality of life and overall health. In order to prevent dental problems, your child should see a pediatric dentist when the first tooth appears or no later than his/her first birthday according to the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
Belmont Medical conducts routine dental inspection as a part of every child’s well visits. We also maintain a list of oral health partners such as dentists, endodontists, oral surgeons, periodontist and orthodontists from which to refer to. Belmont Medical also provides dental varnish for children under 5 years of age. A routine dental inspection is part of every child’s well visit.
Belmont Medical Associates accepts patients with a range of common to complex medical needs. We identify and treat the important conditions and concerns of our patients but we also understand your health is affected by many factors including social determinants and behavioral health concerns. Our focus is in promoting your overall wellness and not just treating illnesses.
We use an Advanced Care Team, led by Dr John Golding, which is trained to serve our patients. Our Advanced Care Team has built relationships with specialists and/or community resources to help our patients navigate the challenges of traveling through today’s healthcare system. These affiliations produce better communication between our patients and other health providers resulting in improved patient outcomes.
In addition, our Advanced Care Team provides Care Management services for patients with chronic disease management such as Asthma, Hypertension, High Cholesterol and Diabetes. Our Care Manager, Cecilia, helps patients establish obtainable health care goals and aids them in finding local resources to reach these goals. These services include assistance in medication management and applying for cost reduction options when purchasing medicines.
Our Health Coach, Cecilia, helps our patients work towards better health by providing support, encouragement and education. She identifies gaps in care, provides support in overcoming barriers, and improves communication between you and your provider.
The practice and the Advanced Care Team has established co-management agreements with our trusted local behavioral health specialists, such as Dr. Rupinder Kaur.* This helps our patients have access to local care and facilitates the coordination of care between our offices to better support our families in their evaluation and treatment of behavioral or mental health concerns.
The Belmont Medical Associates Advanced Care Team is committed to treating your needs with thoughtful care and personal attention.
Please read our updated Vaccine Policy effective as of June 14, 2017. If you have any questions, please contact us.
